We radically question the familiar in order to unleash purpose, progress and future strength.
We create clarity in technology, data and processes –
and develop solutions from it that work in operation.
Our approach – your solution:

We believe that effective solutions begin with a clear view.

We create clarity in complex questions of technology, data and processes.

We work where technical systems, data and operational processes come together.
From the strength of HATZ.
For the technology of tomorrow.
2014
Akovis was founded in late summer 2014 by Benedikt von Imhoff and two colleagues from the institute at the Technical University of Munich under the name "Inecosys".
In the beginning, the company focused on rapid control prototyping of embedded controls in the automotive and industrial engineering sectors as well as on high-quality kitchen appliances.
2018
In 2018, the High-Tech start-up fonds invested in Akovis and in the development of an integrated solution for embedded controls, from prototype to series maturity (RSD).
Also in 2018, the first functional model of the RSD was developed.
2021
Motorenfabrik Hatz acquired the technology start-up Akovis. The young Munich-based company specialises in the development of innovative control and electronics systems.
With this step, Motorenfabrik Hatz secures further expertise and know-how for the development of tomorrow's drive solutions.
2022
At bauma 2022, competencies in the development of fully electric systems were presented for the first time.
The innovative purpose-design development approach, applied in combination with an e-system construction kit, enables the realisation of new machine concepts and machine architectures.
2025
In 2025, growth and strategic development are on the agenda at Akovis:
Expanding the team from 10 to 25 employees and extending the existing engineering expertise to include digitalisation and corporate development bring services from which both the Hatz Group and external companies have benefited ever since.
2026
Since the integration of Inecosys into the Hatz Group in 2021, the focus has been on developing electric drive systems for soil compaction. Following the expansion of its competencies in 2025, the company now supports both internal and external clients under its new name, Akovis GmbH, in the areas of engineering, digitalisation, testing and corporate development.
